An “Empty Leg” is a positioning sector where the aircraft is either flying empty to pick up clients from their departure airport or returning to base after dropping the passengers off at their required destination.

As these aircraft have to make these flights to facilitate the particular charter they can be sold at a greatly reduced rate. The routing highlights where the aircraft will be for departure and where it has to end up, and by what date and time.

A proposed routing will be given, i.e. London to New York with the size of aircraft and number of seats, however our operators are flexible on adjustments to the route and the timings as long as they end up where they should be by the required time. For example if you wanted to fly from Edinburgh to Toronto on the dates listed this may well be a consideration for us as the aircraft can then position in to New York after dropping off in Toronto.
